Our locations in Carinthia are located directly on Villacher Straße (Klagenfurt) and Spanheimerstraße (Wolfsberg). They are easily accessible by public transport. Of course, you can also come by private car and leave it in our car park, where it will be waiting for you during your adventure. Whether you want to go to one of the beautiful lakes, to the mountains of Carinthia or to destinations throughout Austria or Europe - with our vans you can reach any destination and enjoy your holiday there.

Tip: You can park your car for free on our PIA premises during your adventure in one of our campervans.

WILD CAMPing IN carinthia

Wild camping is generally prohibited in Carinthia and must be reported. It can be punished with heavy fines. However, alpine bivouacking to restore your strength is permitted. However, even this rule should not be exploited and landowners and police officers are usually good at distinguishing between planned overnight stays and emergency bivouacking. In Carinthia, however, there are many different campsites and pitches waiting for you and your PIA camper. You can also enjoy the wild camp feeling on somewhat smaller and quieter pitches.

Which holiday destinations are there in carinthia?

With sights such as the Minimundus miniature park and Lake Wörthersee, the city of Klagenfurt is one of the wonderful places in Carinthia that should not be missed during a visit. There are also a number of regions and places to explore and marvel at away from the capital. Lakes and mountain landscapes, adventures by bike or canoe, as well as culture and culinary delights - our top regions in the southernmost province are sure to have something for you:

Region Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See: The fresh, clear Alpine air, breathtaking bathing lakes, hiking trails and bike trails in between - the Villach region impresses in every season and is a natural paradise for active holidaymakers.

Millstätter See - Bad Kleinkirchheim - Nockberge: No matter how you plan your holiday and who you are travelling with - there is something for everyone in the Millstätter See region.

Hohe Tauern - the national park region: This region is just right for nature lovers: you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along wild waters and up gorges, while glacier trekking, on the long-distance Alpe Adria Trail or on the way to the summit cross of the Grossglockner.

Lake Klopein - Upper Carinthia - Lavanttal: The best water quality invites you to seven wonderful lakes to enjoy the summer. Stand-up paddling, diving, pedal boating, swimming, jumping, sliding and workouts right by the lake make your active holiday extra special. Hikers also get their money's worth in the region thanks to an extensive network of trails.

Katschberg - Lieser and Malta valleys: The Katschberg region is located on the south side of the main Alpine ridge at 1,100 to 2,220 metres above sea level and impresses with its breathtaking nature and varied activity programme for the whole family.
